Tajik-Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda met with His Highness the Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in Kuwait City on November 11 as part of his official visit to Kuwait, according to the Tajik MFA information department.  The meeting was attended by Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah.

In the course of the talks, the two sides reportedly discussed issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kuwait in the fields of trade, tourism and investment.

They also exchanged views on cooperation in combating terrorism and extremism and a number of other international and regional issues being of mutual interest.

Tajik PM invited the Crown Prince of Kuwait to pay an official visit to Tajikistan.  His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah reportedly accepted the invitation and said that he would visit the friendly country at a convenient time.

Qohir Rasoulzoda also had a separate meeting with Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs (Prime Minister) Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah.  They reportedly discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kuwait in different fields.

Rasoulzoda’s meeting with Marzouq Al-Ghanem, Speaker of the Kuwait National Assembly, focused on issues related to expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.  Both sides underlined the necessity of organizing mutual inter-parliamentary visits for the purpose of exchanging experience and expanding cooperation, the Tajik MFA information department said.  

Recent regional developments were also discussed during the meeting.
