On May 13, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, head of the Tajik Foreign Ministry, took part in an extraordinary meeting of foreign ministers of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which was first held via videoconference.

During the conference, he noted the negative impact of the pandemic on a number of socio-economic indicators of Tajikistan, in particular on the acute problem of reducing the republican budget revenues, the department of information of the foreign ministry of the country reports.

Sirojiddin Muhriddin also spoke about other issues related to the pandemic, primarily the need to ensure transit and communication opportunities and food security, as well as the supply of medical equipment and medicines.
