Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin on August 11 had a phone conversation with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Adel Al-Jubeir.
According to the Tajik MFA information department, the parties discussed the state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia.
They reportedly also exchanged views on cooperation between the two countries within the framework of international organizations.
The conversation was held in a constructive atmosphere, the Tajik MFA information department said.
Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir (born February 1, 1962) is a Saudi diplomat who is the former Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs and the current Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. He is the second person not belonging to the House of Saud to hold the office, after Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al Suwaiyel. He previously served as the Saudi Ambassador to the United States from 2007 to 2015, and was also a foreign policy advisor to King Abdullah.
