The leader of the faction of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) in the State Duma (Russia’s lower chamber of parliament), Vladimir Zhirinovsky, has offered three options for solving the Afghan problem, including complete non-interference in internal affairs.

“There are three options for solving the Afghan problem.  First - we do nothing, we do not recognize anyone - let everything go on its own.  Second: we provide powerful support to Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in order to prevent the invasion of any troops from Afghanistan.  And the third option – to divide Afghanistan,” LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky stated on the air of the Rossiya 24 (Russia 24) TV channel, according to RIA Novosti

At the same time, the Russian politician noted that “if you do not interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan, gangs, ISIL and everyone else who will concentrate in Afghanistan will burst into Central Asia.”
