Tajik president Emomali Rahmon on February 5 met in Beijing with a number of heads of countries and international organizations on the sidelines of the XXIV Winter Olympic Games.
The Tajik president’s official website says, Rahmon, in particular, met with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan.
He reportedly also held talks with the UN Secretary-General António Guterres and the President of the UN General Assembly Abdullah Shahid.
