Tajikistan Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman Zubaydullo Zubaydzoda on November 21 met in Muscat with the Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) Redha Juma Al Saleh.
The Tajik MFA information department says the two discussed issues related to attracting Omani investors in Tajikistan’s economy, implementation of the economic development projects in Tajikistan, increasing the volume of the bilateral trade between Tajikistan and Oman, as well as holding business forums and exhibitions of agricultural products.
On the same day, Ambassador Zubaydzoda met with the Head of the Civil Aviation Agency of Oman Naif Ali Al-Abri.
During the meeting, the issues of cooperation between the aviation structures of Tajikistan and Oman and launching direct flights between the two countries were discussed, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Ministry of the Sultanate of Oman says His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a written message from Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, dealing with the bilateral relations between Oman and Tajikistan.
The message was handed over to Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi when he on November 20 received in Muscat Zubaydullo Zubaydzoda, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Khalid Almuslahi, Head of the Minister’s office department and a number of Foreign Ministry officials.
Recall, the first session of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Sultanate of Oman was held via video-conferencing on January 20, 2021.
The sides discussed issues related to the state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
They reportedly exchanged views on growing relations between Tajikistan and Oman in political, economic, commercial, scientific and cultural fields.
The sides noted the importance of the implementation of the Executive Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries for the period 2020-2022, which was signed during the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan to Muscat on December 19, 2019.
The consultations session was attended by officials from the foreign ministries of the two countries.
