The heads of Central Asian states will meet in Dushanbe on September 14-15, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirodjiddin Mukhriddin said at a press conference on August 15.

According to the Minister, the fifth high-level consultative meeting will be chaired by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

"In order to hold this meeting at a high level and with dignity, we are in constant cooperation with the countries of Central Asia and are conducting comprehensive preparations," Sirojiddin Mukhriddin stressed.

The Minister said that a package of documents will be signed at the consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian states, the most important of which will be the final declaration of the heads of state.

Two important agreements will also be signed in Dushanbe - in the field of land transport and youth policy.

"Tajikistan also proposed to hold 12 parallel events on the sidelines of the fifth consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian states. Among them are the holding of an economic forum, a forum of scientists, meetings of active women, a cultural program and an exhibition of national dishes of five states of the region," the Foreign Minister said.

At the same time, a regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea is scheduled in Dushanbe, following which several decisions are to be signed.

Kyrgyzstan recently hosted the fourth meeting of the heads of Central Asian States.

The consultative meeting of the heads of Central Asian States was held for the first time in 2018 in Astana in Kazakhstan, then in 2019 in Tashkent in Uzbekistan, in 2021 in Avaza in Turkmenistan and in 2022 in Cholpon-Ota in Kyrgyzstan.
