Rais (Head) of Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, has bestowed the Order of Duslyk (the Order of Friendship) on the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the Tajik president’s official website reported on February 22.
Emomali Rahmon was reportedly conferred Tatarstan’s high civilian honor, the Order of Duslyk (the Order of Friendship), for “significant contribution to the strengthening of friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples.”
Tajik leader, in turn, expressed gratitude to the head of Tatarstan for such high recognition of his merits and brought this high award to all the people of Tajikistan, the Tajik president’s official website noted.
The Order of Duslyk is the second most important state award of the Republic of Tatarstan, approved on April 25h, 2015, and awarded by the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan. This award is bestowed for special merits in strengthening the international authority of the Republic of Tatarstan, friendship and cooperation between Tatarstan and foreign countries, for significant contributions to the development of economic, trade, scientific and technical, social, cultural relations and industrial potential, as well as effective investment, charitable and public activities that promotes prosperity.
