Tajikistan
Mr. Rainer Muller presented credentials to Tajik President Emomali Rahmonov, presidential press service reported.
According to presidential press service, following the credentials-presenting ceremony the two discussed a broad range of issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between
Tajikistan
and
Germany
.
President Rahmonov noted that
Germany
was one of important partners of
Tajikistan
in
Europe
and relationships with
Germany
were among priorities and main directions of
Tajikistan
’s foreign policy. The sides also supported an idea of holding of a forum of entrepreneurs and businesspeople of
Germany
and
Tajikistan
in
Hanover
on sidelines of the Hanover Exhibition set for April this year.
Rahmonov and Muller also exchanged views on the issues related to postwar reconstruction of Afghanistan’s economy and strengthening of the Tajik-Afghan border, as well as fight against drug trafficking.
Mr. Muller replaces Dr. Harald Loeschner in this post.
