DUSHANBE, June 29, Asia-Plus -- Tajikistan strongly condemned the assassination of five employees of the Russian Embassy in Iraq.
President Rahmonov has sent a telegram of condolences to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, over this incident, presidential press service reported.
The telegram, in particular, says, “Tajikistan with grief and anger took the news about the kidnapping and subsequent murder of the Russian diplomats in Iraq.”
“This case once again showed the necessity to pool efforts of the world community for efficient response to international terrorism and for uprooting of conditions for its development and spread,” Emomali Rahmonov said in the telegram. He asked Putin to convey deep condolences on his behalf and on behalf of the Tajik people to the families and relatives of those killed.
