DUSHANBE, November 14, Asia-Plus - A Tajik delegation led by Saydullo Khairulloyev, the Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament), today morning left for St. Petersburg to attend the 27 th session of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly set for November 16.
The delegation consists of Sherkhon Salimov, the head of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee for Constitution and Human Rights, Abdumannon Kholiqov, the head of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on Public Order, Defense and Security, Asomuddin Saidov, the head of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee for Foreign Affairs, Public Associations and Information, as well as the Majlisi Namoyandagon deputies Mahmad Rahimov, Usmonjon Ghafforov, Jabbor Ahmadov and others.
The session of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly is aiming to consider the results of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the CIS states over the past fifteen years. Harmonization of national laws of the member states of the CIS in the field of security is one of major topics of the session. The session will consider model laws on narcotics, countering financing of terrorism, on prosecutor’s office, etc.
