DUSHANBE, June 28, Asia-Plus — The Dushanbe legislature (Majlis) has discussed issues related to preparations for autumn-winter 2007-08.
The 10th session of the Dushanbe Majlis presided over by its chairman Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev was held on June 28.
The First Deputy Dushanbe Mayor, Abdusattor Sulaymonov, noted in his report that they currently consider measures to rationally use natural gas in the city. According to him, with raising efficiency of use of natural gas it is real to save 10 percent.
The deputy mayor noted that Dushanbe losses nearly 60 percent of heat power mostly because of poor state of lagging (thermal protection) and irrational distribution of heat.
Sulaymonov noted that the problem could be tackled if heat supply system would be shifted to coal.
The session also harshly criticized activity of the Dushanbe natural-gas-distributor Dushanbegaz, which had failed to opportunely provide all consumers with gas meters. Ubaidulloyev demanded at the session that the work on providing consumers with gas meters should be completed before September 1.
The session also heard a report of Dushanbe’s municipal waterworks, Dushanbevodokanal, on a progress of the reconstruction of the Dushanbe water supply system.
