President Emomali Rahmon has inaugurated two new schools in Roudaki district.  In all, more that 46 million somoni have been spent for construction of these schools.

On Friday, December 21, President Emomali Rahmon participated in official opening ceremonies of two new schools in Roudaki district, according to the Tajik president’s official website.    

21 million somoni have reportedly been spent for construction of School # 35 in the village of Shahriston.  This school will accommodate 1,300 pupils from the Shahriston village and neighboring Mehan and Daryoobod villages.  

The school has 22 classes, language laboratory, gym, assembly hall, medical room and cafeteria.  The school is provided with computers and electronic blackboard.  

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the head of state noted that 88 educational facilities have been built in the district this year. 

The president’s website says 25 million somoni have been spent for construction of School # 7 in the village of Obi Shifo.

Local entrepreneur Nourshed Mashrabov reportedly funded the construction of this three-story school that will accommodate 1,280 pupils in two shifts.

Roudaki district with population of nearly 500,000 people is one of the largest districts in Tajikistan.  172 schools and preschool institutions now function in the district.
