President Emomali Rahmon and Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali inaugurated new school and amphitheater in the Tajik capital last Saturday.  The ceremonies were timed to coincide with the Tajik Capital City Day.  

According to the Tajik president’s official website, newly built School # 6 consists of three four-story buildings housing 50 classes and 38 support offices and it can accommodate 2,400 pupils in two shifts. 


Construction of new buildings of the school has been financed by local businessman also director-general of Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) Tojikgidroelektromontazh, Iqbol Safarov.

During a meeting with teachers and students of the school, President Rahmon noted that new conditions would give school students opportunities to prove themselves even more.  


After that, the head of state and Dushanbe mayor attended an official opening ceremony of an amphitheater in Dushanbe’s Firdvasi district.  

The Capital City Day is marked in Tajikistan on the third Saturday of April, and this year, it was marked on April 20.
