In connection with the current situation, Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali has ordered the Dushanbe Directorate of Health and Social Protection of the Population and other relevant agencies to establish temporary hospitals with a total of 3,000 beds for COVID-19-infected patients.

The hospitals must be provided with all necessary equipment and high-skilled medical personnel, according to the Dushanbe Administration press center.  

The Dushanbe Administration says more than 30 hospitals with a total of 5,285 beds now operate in Dushanbe.  5390 medical workers work for these medical facilities.  

Meanwhile, Facebook users have informed about preparation of places for receiving COVID-19 patients in one of pavilions of the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (EANE). 

Recall, 76 cases of COVID-19 have been officially reported in Tajikistan as of the evening of May 2.  Two coronavirus-liked deaths have been reported in the country as of May 2.  

The national television in the country confirmed the deaths on Saturday and reported that the number of COVID-19 cases rose in Tajikistan to 76 from 44.
