President Emomali Rahmon has ordered to build the infectious diseases hospitals across the country and set up a working group to determine the cause of an outbreak of COIVD-19 in Tajikistan.

Khovar national news agency says that in accordance with the Plan endorsed by President Emomali Rahmon on May 27, the infectious diseases hospitals will be built and commissioned in all cities and districts of the country by September 1, 2021.   

Local entrepreneurs will be involved in construction of those hospitals that will be provided with all necessary medical equipment, the Plan says.  

Besides, the head of state has ordered the Republican Commission for Prevention of the Further Spread of COVID-19 and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population “to intensify activities on the complete eradication of this virus and elimination of existing shortcomings.”  

He also ordered the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population and local authorities to prepare temporary hospitals for admission and treatment of patients until June 15.  

Under the Plan, the Committee for Architecture and Construction under the Government of Tajikistan and the Dushanbe Administration are to develop the project for construction of the infectious diseases with a total of 1,500 beds in Dushanbe and to begin constructing a hospital with a total of 650 hospitals in September this year.  

Emomali Rahmon has also ordered to set up a working group to determine the cause of an outbreak of COIVD-19 in the country until June 5, 2020.  

The relevant ministries and agencies are instructed to develop the national program on training of personnel, especially virologists, epidemiologists and resuscitators, for the country’s health sector and submit it for consideration to the government until August 1, 2020.
