Emomali Rahmon arrived in Tursunzade this morning, opened a non-state educational institution “Mirzo Tursunzode School” and has already visited the “Islam” farm, where he started the rice harvest.

The “Islam” farm was founded in 2000 by the Bobokhonov family and has 1.2 hectares of land at its disposal, the presidential press service reports.

This year, 0.60 ha of rice was sown here. Last year, farmers from the same area grew more than 4 tons of high-quality “laser” grade rice.

Emomali Rahmon had a conversation with farmers and thanked them for the efficient and rational use of land, food production and support for the government's agricultural policy.

Then Emomali Rahmon got acquainted with the exhibition of bakery products.

The President also opened a school named after Mirzo Tursunzoda, designed for 400 students, who will be taught by 25 experienced teachers. Education at the school is conducted in Tajik, Russian and English.

A football ground has been built on the territory of the school, all conditions have been created to attract teenagers and youth to sports, the report says.
