As part of his working visit to the southern province of Khatlon, President Emomali Rahmon on Saturday (October 21) commissioned a potato chips manufacturing factory in Muminobod district.
According to the Tajik president’s official website, the facility with capacity of processing 20 tons potatoes and manufacturing 8 tons of chips per day was built and put into use by Zarkoron Limited Liability Company (LLC).
A total cost of the project is 1 million somonis and the technological line was imported from. The factory has reportedly created 60 new jobs – twenty people work in one shift.
Besides, 10 people were employed at Zarkoron’s dairy factory, which was introduced into operation with the participation of Emomali Rahmon.
There are 10 types of products being manufactured by the new enterprise: environmentally friendly butter, cream, sour cream, cottage cheese, butter, and bread using advanced industrial equipment.
The enterprise’s production capacity is to process 44 tons of milk per month, and the estimated budget for construction of this facility is 2.9 million somonis.
