DUSHANBE, March 7, 2011, Asia-Plus – Rasht resident, S.G, 36, voluntarily handed over TOZ-8 rifle, three magazines for assault rifle Kalashnikov an 50 bullet of 5.45 caliber to local police station on March 4, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
On the same day, when inspecting the territory of the Ghalaba farm in Khatlon’s Farkhor district, police officers found a carbine at a trash damp, the source at a MoI said.
According to the MoI data, 304 firearms, including 70 assault rifles, 55 pistols, 46 rifles, 33 grenade launchers, as well as 179 explosives and large amount of bullets of different caliber have been confiscated or voluntarily handed over to police stations across the country since the beginning of this year.
