DUSHANBE, May 26, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Tajik police reportedly seized more than 120 kilograms of narcotics yesterday.
According to the Ministry of Interior (MoI), more than 45 kilograms of hashish were intercepted by police officers in Dushanbe alone.
Besides, more than 73 kilograms of narcotics were seized in the northern Sughd province. A totaled included 40.5 kilograms of hashish seized in Chkalovsk, more than 10 kilograms of hashish seized in Bobojon Ghafurov district, and more than 9 kilograms of hashish and 13.4 kilograms of marijuana seized in Qairoqqum.
On the same day, a 45-year-old woman from Qurghon Teppa, Khatlon province was detained with three kilograms of heroin not far from Dushanbe, the source said.
