DUSHANBE, June 29, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the Drug Control Agency (DCA)’s office in Gorno Badakhshan have discovered a drug cache on the bank of the Panj River.
According to the DCA press center, the drug cache containing 19.2 kilograms of hashish and 1.9 kilograms of heroin was found on the 9th kilometer of the highway from Khorog to Ishkashim.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted under the provisions of Article 200 (1) – illegal drug trafficking; an investigation is under way.
