DUSHANBE, September 14, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Office of the U.S. Embassy, through implementing partner The Emergence Group, provided an English course for faculty members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Training Center and their children, the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe said.
The recently completed three-month course, focused on grammar, writing, reading, speaking, pronunciation, active listening, and vocabulary skills. Twenty-six students graduated from the course.
The U.S. Government is committed to supporting Tajikistan’s law enforcement agencies and justice sector institutions and looks forward to continued close cooperation in future projects. Since 2003, the U.S. Embassy’s International Narcotics and Law Enforcement program has provided a total of more than $52 million to support security and justice for the people of Tajikistan.
