DUSHANBE, October 12, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Tajik Minister of Interiors Abdurahim Qahhorov has departed for Yerevan, Armenia to attend the next meeting of the CIS interior ministers’ council that is opening there on October 13.
The source at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) says the meeting will focus on implementation of interstate programs dedicated to combat crime, terrorism, drug trafficking and trafficking in persons.
Issues related to strengthening of interaction between the CIS interior ministries in countering illegal migration within the CIS area and the concept of interaction in combating cyber crimes are also among major topics of the meeting, the source noted.
According to him, Mr. Qahhorov is expected to hold a number of bilateral meetings with his CIS counterparts on the sidelines of the event.
