Another conflict occurred on September 3 on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border. The reason was the illegal construction of a market in one of the disputed areas.
A source in Isfara City Hall said that citizens of a neighboring state tried to start building a market on one of the disputed border areas in the Chorkuh jamoat of Isfara city.
“In this regard, residents of the border villages of Isfara expressed their disagreement and obstructed construction work. The situation could get out of control, but the intervention of representatives of law enforcement bodies and the Isfara City Hall caused the confrontation to end peacefully”, - source said.
According to him, in late afternoon after the citizens of Kyrgyzstan stopped building a market, assembled people returned to their homes.
