KULOB, April 23, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The Kulob center for sanitary and epidemiological supervision jointly with local prosecutor’s office is inspecting facilities in Khatlon’s Kulob region for compliance with sanitary and hygienic requirements, Kulob chief sanitary inspector Saidsarvar Alamov said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, local mosques will also be inspected for compliance with sanitary requirements. “Many people gather in mosques and various religious rituals are carried out in mosques, including ablution before praying,” said Alamov, “Therefore, strict observance of sanitary and hygienic norms is very important.”
Kulob’s sanitary watchdog is also inspecting local bazaars and food stores. “All spoiled food products will be withdrawn from shelves,” the Kulob chief sanitary inspector said.
