KHOROG, April 30, 2011, Asia-Plus -- An international investment forum entitled “Pamir Invest 2011” will take place in Khorog, the administrative center of Gorno Badakhshan from June 16-17 this year.
Organized by the GBAO Regional Government, State Committee on Investments and State-owned Property Management (GosKomInvest) and Khorog-based Milal-Inter Association under financial support of German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the forum is reportedly dedicated to discuss issue related to attracting investments for development of Gorno Badakhshan, removing various obstacles that make it difficult for investors and tourists to visit the region, as well as creating favorable conditions for intensification of activities of local entrepreneurs.
The Milal-Inter top manager Boymamad Alibakhshov told Asia-Plus that the organizing committee has received some 80 applications from local and foreign entrepreneurs and companies for participation in the forum’s work so far.
“To-date, of 80 business-concepts, we have prepared 12 business plans for submitting for consideration to investors,” Alibakhshov said.
