Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsayeed Ubaidulloev met Thursday with Marsha Olive, Country Manager of the World Bank in Tajikistan.
The sides met to discuss implementation of the second phase of the Dushanbe water supply project, a spokesman for the Dushanbe Mayor’s Office Shavkat Sayeedov told AP. WB allocates a $16mln grant for implementation of the given project. Additionally, $3mln will be allocated to the Dushanbe Mayor’s Office.
The sides expressed their satisfaction over the process of implementation of the project and stressed that the project will let reduce the loss of drinking water in Dushanbe water networks. More than 76.500 water meters will be installed in Tajikistan’s capital in line with the project.
