QURGHON TEPPA, January 9, 2013, Asia-Plus -- 3,904 crimes were reported in Khatlon province last year, which is 153 cases more than in 2011, Varqa Zayniddinov, a senior aide to the Khatlon chief prosecutor, told Asia-Plus in an interview.
According to him, the number of reported frauds and thefts increased last year. Compared to 2011 the number of frauds increased by 284 cases and the number of thefts increased by 834 cases. 358 cases of fraud and 948 cases of theft were reported in the area in 2011.
92.6 percent of all the crimes were solved in 2012 compared to 93.7 percent in 2011.
