DUSHANBE, July 4, 2014, Asia-Plus - Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda and Prosecutor-General Sherkhon Salimzoda visited Khorog, the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) from June 30 to July 2, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
An official source at a MoI says the main purpose of the visit was for them to get acquainted with activities of the GBAO law enforcement authorities and the work of joint commission that has been set up to investigate the May 21 incident.
He further added that the minister has not yet announced the results of his visit to Gorno-Badakhshan.
