QURGHON TEPPA, July 10, Asia-Plus -- The deputy head of the Khatlon directorate for land reclamation and irrigation, Shamsiddin Gadoyev, notes that some districts in Khatlon province have misused state funds allocated for reclamation works.
“They have used budgetary funds earmarked for reclamation works to cover tax debts,” said Gadoyev. “Thus, if any district fails to implement the revenue part of its budget, it uses funds allocated for reclamation works to cover its tax debts.”
“These funds are allocated for production and we must use them to carry out reclamation works, including cleaning of collectors,” said the deputy head of the Khatlon directorate for land reclamation and irrigation. “Unfortunately, most of these funds are used to cover tax debts.”
“Thus, 58,300 somoni have been allocated to the Khuroson district, 14,700 somoni have been allocated to the Jomi district and 58,000 somoni have been allocated to the Hamadoni district,” said Gadoyev. “Our subdivisions in these districts have managed to carry out a large volume of work on that money.”
