Over 1.1 million of Citizens of 8 Tajikistan (population - 8 million) was in Russia in the beginning of the month, according to the Russian Federal Migration Services.
The statistics is given based on sex and age among the citizens of 230 countries, as well as persons without citizenship, and persons without a status.
According to the data of the Federal Migration Services, there were over 1 million 166.6 thousand Tajik citizens jn Russia as of 4 August. Approximately 991 thousand of them are men, and over 175 thousand are women.
Incomparison to the data of the beginning of the year, the number of Tajik citizens in Russia has increased by 54 thousand. The number of Tajik male population has increased by 65 thousand, while the number of females has decreased by almost 11 thousand.
Meanwhile, according to the Tajik Migration Services, approximately 372 thousand Tajik citizens, out of whom 85 per cent are men have migrated from the country in the first half of the year.
The vast majority of the labor migrants leaving Tajikistan, have chosen Russia - 98.5 per cent.
