One of the central avenues in Dushanbe, closed for repair works as of the beginning of August – Ismail Samani Avenue, will be reopened on 26 August. The information was provided to Asia-Plus by the Mayor’s Spokesperson, Shavkat Saidov.
The source said: “The repair work on Ismail Samani Avenue from the Presidential Palace to Avicenna’s statue, length of 2.5 kilometers, is being done within the frame of preparation for the SCO Summit on 11-12 September.”
According to him, the repair works costs 16.7 million Samani for the capital’s budget.
