KHUAJND, September 5, 2014, Asia-Plus -- The labor exchange that was established under financial support of the Khujand mayor’s office was officially opened in Khujand, capital of northern Sughd province yesterday.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Khujand Mayor Rajabboy Ahmadzoda noted that more than 1,700 new jobs have been created in the city this year.  “However, the number of day laborers and job seekers is increasing from year to year,” said the mayor.

Now, day laborers and job seekers may be registered with the labor exchange in order to get jobs.

Meanwhile, job seekers say they do not want to work with state-run enterprises because of low level of wages offered by them.
