DUSHANBE, September 30, 2014, Asia-Plus – Tajik Ambassador to Pakistan Sherali Jononov has met in Islamabad a delegation of Tajiks of Pakistan, led by Sahibzada Afzal Tajik, Advocate Chairman of Tajik Quami Ittehad Pakistan, the Tajik MFA information department reported on September 29.
During the meeting, Sahibzada Afzal Tajik reportedly noted that their movement was engaged in protection of rights of Tajiks living in Pakistan, preservation of national identity of Tajiks of Pakistan, and propagation of culture, language and written heritage of Tajiks of Pakistan.
According to him, Tajik Quami Ittehad Pakistan has published Tajik magazine for already more than twenty-four years. The magazine reportedly publishes articles and reports about life of Tajiks in Pakistan.
Tajiks of Pakistan highly appraised activities of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon as Chairman of the Association of Tajiks and Persian Speakers of the World Payvand .
The sides reportedly discussed issues related to development of contacts with Tajiks of Pakistan for the purpose of creating a common cultural, scientific and language space.
