DUSHANBE, October 15, 2014, Asia-Plus – Thirty-four countries of the world have provided more than 47.9 million U.S. dollars worth of more than 5,600 tons of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in January-September this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

Over the report period, among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from United States – 68 percent; the Netherlands – 8.2 percent; China – 4.8 percent; Denmark – 2.5 percent; South Korea – 2.1 percent; Germany – 1.5 percent; Latvia – 1.3 percent; Austria – 0.9 percent; Estonia – 0.8 percent; Switzerland – 0.7 percent; India and France – 0.5 percent each; Iran, Malaysia, and Spain – 0.3 percent each; Bulgarian, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Belgium and Turkey – 0.2 percent each; and of the CIS countries: Russia - 5.4 percent, Kazakhstan – 0.1 percent, and others.
