The State Committee for Science and Technologies of Belarus and the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan announce the first joint science and technology projects contest for 2021-2022, according to BelTA news agency.

Citing the press center of the State Committee for Science and Technologies of Belarus, BelTA says the contest will be held on priority areas of bilateral cooperation between the countries, including information and communications, interdisciplinary, chemical and agricultural technologies as well as energy and energy saving, medicine, pharmaceutics, nano- and biotechnologies, new materials, food security, rational nature management, water and resource management technologies, prevention and mitigation  of disaster effects, environmental protection, and mining.   

The contest is reportedly held in accordance with a government-to-government agreement between Tajikistan and Belarus on cooperation in the field of science and technologies of April 5, 2020 and the minutes of the first meeting Tajikistan-Belarus joint working group for science and technology cooperation of June 18, 2020.
