The first group of Tajik labor migrants has traveled to the Russian city of Irkutsk.

According to the press center of the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment of the Population (MoLMEP), 170 Tajik builders traveled to Irkutsk by charter flight on January 30.

They reportedly have an official invitation from Irkutsk-based construction companies to work there as labor migrants.

In all, more than 400 Tajik labor migrants are expected to travel to Irkutsk.

Citing Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin, TASS reported on January 22 that the mechanism for the entry of migrants from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkey to Russia for work at construction sites has been adjusted.
