The Standing Committee on COVID-19 Response has adopted a decision to allow organization of weddings with participation of maximum 100 people.

The Committee has adopted such a decision taking into account improvement of the sanitary-epidemiological situation in the country, Khovar news agency says.

Relevant ministries, agencies, organizations and enterprises irrespective of their forms of property as well as physical entities are ordered to take necessary measures to ensure observance of sanitary and epidemiological rules while holding celebrations.

Recall, weddings were suspended in Tajikistan in April last year due to the coronavirus crisis.  As of 20 June 2020, a ban on weddings has been lifted, allowing organization of weddings by having only one ceremony (traditionally weddings foresee several ceremonies), with participation of maximum 30-40 people.

Meanwhile, all the public facilities throughout the country, including major markets and shopping malls, beauty salons, sanatoriums and others closed due to COVID-19 re-opened on 15 June 2020.

To-date, Tajikistan has lifted practically all restrictions related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-15).
