Tajik athletes delivered a strong performance at the WRPF World Powerlifting Championship held in Moscow on December 5. All three members of the national team earned podium finishes, according to the National Powerlifting Federation of Tajikistan.

In the 110 kg weight category, Davlatmand Odinayev won gold in the triathlon with a total of 735 kg, outperforming some of the world's top athletes.

His most outstanding achievement came in the deadlift, where he lifted 292.5 kg — setting a new WRPF world record in both the Open and M1 divisions.

In the 100 kg category (M2, age 50+), Qobiljon Haytaliev took second place in the bench press with a lift of 162.5 kg. Competing against experienced international lifters, he secured a strong finish.

Another silver medal was claimed by Ubaydullo Rahmonov in the 110 kg weight class for the biathlon. His total of 380 kg earned him second place in the global standings.

These achievements reflect the growing strength of Tajikistan’s powerlifting program. The country’s lifters continue to show steady progress and assert themselves on the world stage.
