Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had a telephone conversation on Thursday to discuss the preparations for U.S President Barack Obama’s visit to Moscow on July 6-8, a source in the Russian Foreign Ministry said after the telephone conversation.

Sergei Lavrov also had a telephone conversation with Secretary- General of the EU Council and EU High Representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana on Thursday. The sides “discussed several current international issues,” the source said.
