DUSHNBE, January 17, Asia-Plus - Health conditions of two children that were affected by the fire at the orphanage for disabled children in Dushanbe early on January 8 have stabilized.

The 15-year-old Mehrdod Abdusattor, who received serious burns in the fire, is currently in a satisfactory condition, according to medical workers.

Nina Kravchenko, head of the Dushanbe Health Administration, has told Asia-Plus that the boy will be out of hospital in near future.

“When Mehrdod was taken to the hospital he received all necessary medical aid,” Mr. Kravchenko noted.

The second boy, Mahmadyusuf Kamolov, who also received wounds in the fire, has already out of hospital and is in good state now, medical workers say.  According to them he was taken to the Dushanbe lyceum for disabled children, which has housed 77 children evacuated from the “Chorbogh” orphanage.

As it had been reported earlier, the fire that broke out at the “Chorbogh” orphanage for children with intellectual disabilities early on January 8 killed 13 children and least at least two with injures.
