Dushanbe. 8 September. “Asia Plus” -- Tajik wrestlers are taking part in the Wrestling World Championship, which takes place on 7-12 of September in Las Vegas (Nevada), reports the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Tajikistan.
It is noted that in the framework of the World Championship will be played sets of medals in all three Olympic disciplines - Greco-Roman, freestyle and women''s wrestling. It will be the first qualifying match on the eve of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). The fighters, who will take 1-6 places, get an Olympic license.
Sports honor of Tajikistan at the next World Forum will present six sportsmen.
In wrestling will act Bahodur Kodirov in the weight category up to 84 kg, Iskandari Rustam - weight up to 97 kg and Farhod Annakulov - weight up to 125 kg. The head coach of Tajikistan`s wrestling team is Abdurozik Olimov.
Wrestlers`s tournament are scattered over three days: on the 10th of September will take place competitions in the weight category up to 65 kg; on September 11 - in categories up to 61, 86 and 97 kg; on September 12 - in the category up to 57, 70, 74 and 125 kg.
In Greco-Roman wrestling on the World Cup from Tajikistan will act Khusrav Obloberdiev (up to 66 kg), Nekruz Mirhodzhaev (up to 71 kg) and Murodjon Tuichiev (130 kg) under the guidance of head coach of Tajikistan Habib Abdullayev.
Wrestling World Championship - is an international competition of amateur fighters, passing under the auspices of the International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles (FILA). There are Greco-Roman (classical) fights among men (since 1904), freestyle wrestling among men (since 1951) and women (since 1987) that conduct in the framework of the World Championships.
In the entire history of the World Cup Tajikistan has only one medal - in 2007 in Baku the silver medal won Yusup Abdusalomov in weight category up to 84 kg.
