On Monday April 3, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Tajikistan Mr. Manuel P. Micaller.
The Tajik MFA information department says that in the course of the talks, the parties discussed a number of issues related to bilateral relations between Tajikistan and the United States in the political, economic, humanitarian spheres and security cooperation
Mr. Muhriddin and Mr. Micaller reportedly also exchanged views on the use of broad opportunities for further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of the programs of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Recall, Mr. Manuel P. Micaller, Jr., Ambassador of the United States to Republic of Tajikistan, presented his credentials to President Emomali Rahmon March 9.
Mr. Manuel Micaller replaced Mr. John Mark Pommersheim, who served as U.S. Ambassador to Tajikistan from 2019 to 2022.
