Dushanbe mayor demands improvement of sanitary situation in Tajik capital

DUSHANBE
, May 12, Asia-Plus -- Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev presided over a working meeting today to discuss activities of the municipal subsidiary utility enterprises, passenger transport services as well as the sanitary-epidemiological situation in the Tajik capital, mayoral press service reported.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the
Dushanbe
mayor, has told Asia-Plus that for the purpose of removing existing shortcomings Ubaidulloyev ordered to hold such meetings next week in all four districts of
Dushanbe
.
“It was decided to hold such meetings weekly,” the mayoral spokesman said, noting that heads of the
Dushanbe
military registration and enlistment office will report at these meetings on a progress of the spring conscription campaign.
Today’s meeting also considered a progress of the construction of a new school accommodating 1,960 pupils in the Zarafshon area of
Dushanbe
.
