DUSHANBE, November 29, Asia-Plus - A meeting of the Dushanbe mayor’s office that held yesterday discussed issues related to the implementation of a new general plan of development of Dushanbe.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev ordered to record all private households located within the first circle of Dushanbe (the city’s center). The mayor also ordered the relevant services to meet with the population to explain the upcoming measures on implementing the general plan that will be taken in this area during the period until 2009. According to Saidov, the meeting considered the issues of allotting places for constructing houses to vulnerable families, living within the first circle, in the Khovaron area of Dushanbe.
Under the general plan for Dushanbe the private houses located within the second circle of the city should be three-story and private houses located within the third circle should be two-story. Householders should reconstruct their houses in accordance with the city’s general plan. No private houses will be located within the first circle of the city.
