Heads of ministries and agencies of Tajikistan as well as heads of provinces and cities are beginning to give news conferences on the results of the past half-year’s work tomorrow. .
The Committee on TV and Radio-broadcasting under the Government of Tajikistan (at 10:00 am in the Committee building) and the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) Khojagii Manziliyu Kommunali (KMK – the state holding company for public utilities) (at 11:00 am in the KMK building) are giving news conferences tomorrow.
The Tajik Human Rights Ombudsman Office (at 9:00 am in the National Library building), the Ministry of Culture (at 8:00 am in the ministry building) and the National TV Channel Safina (at 11:00 am in the TV Channel building) are also giving news conference tomorrow.
The news conferences will run through August 15. The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prosecutor-General’s Office and the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption under the President of Tajikistan will give news conferences on the last day
Recall, President Emomali Rahmon on March 4, 2005 signed a decree obligating ministers, department heads, and local officials to give quarterly news conferences.
But by president’s decree issued in September 2011, ministers, department heads, and local authorities now give news conferences only twice a year – in January and July.
The decree also notes that in case of necessity, ministers and department heads may give news conferences several times a month.
