On August 15, Emomali Rahmon opened the Kalai-Humb border outpost in the Darvaz district of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.

"Construction work on the military facility began in February 2023, the building of the border outpost was built and put into operation in a short time in accordance with the requirements of the time," the presidential press service notes.

The Kalai-Humb border post consists of a complex with three barracks for 60 people and is fully equipped with all necessary accessories.

Emomali Rahmon talked with officers and soldiers at the newly built outpost.

"The Head of State stressed that border guards, as a reliable shield, should protect the state border from all threats and dangers of modern times, especially from drug trafficking and transnational crimes," the message says.

The President in the border detachment "Darvoz" in virtual mode also commissioned border posts in Murghab, Ishkashim, Rushan districts of GBAO and in the districts of Farkhor, Shamsiddin Shokhin and Panj of Khatlon region, which were erected by the government in a very short time.
