DUSHANBE, May 5, Asia-Plus -- The Third Arts Festival of member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will be held in Dushanbe in 2007.
Abdughaffor Abdujabborov, the Culture Ministry’s chief of administration, has told Asia-Plus that such a decision was made at a SCO culture ministers’ session in Tashkent in late April. The next session of the council of the SCO culture ministers is also supposed to be held in Tajik capital in the first half of the next year.
The SCO culture ministers’ meeting in Tashkent considered a progress of the implementation of plans of multilateral cultural cooperation between member nations of the Organization designed for the next three years.
The Second Arts Festival of member nations of the SCO will be held in Shanghai in June this year on sidelines of the SCO summit dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the Organization.
