DUSHANBE, July 12, Asia-Plus -- The “Poitakht-80” (Amphitheatre) State Culture Complex has started regularly functioning in Dushanbe.  

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, has told Asia-Plus that the now becomes the main place for holding cultural events and various conferences and meetings.

According to him, a city festival of singers and musical groups is supposed to be held in the “Poitakht-80” State Culture Complex on Friday July 14.  This event is dedicated to the 15 ^th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence, mayoral spokesman said. 

We will recall that the amphitheatre with a seating capacity of 1,500 was built in 2005 on occasion of the 80 ^th anniversary of the establishment of Dushanbe.  It is one of the main cultural facilities in the Tajik capital.
