DUSHANBE, August 31, Asia-Plus -- On Thursday August 30, an awards ceremony was held at the Lohouti Theatre in Dushanbe for the winners of the recitation competition “Chashmi Khurshed”. The competition was organized by the Ministry of Culture (MoC).
22 reciters of verses from all regions of the country had got the right to participate in the final round that was held at the Lohouti Theatre on August 29-30.
Niloufar Umarova from Khujand and Muhammadjon Aminov from Kulob won the competition and received 500 somonis each.
The goal of the competition was to promote development of cultural and spiritual life of the country and reveal new persons of talent in the field of culture. The contest was an important event, providing incentive to artistes to develop their skills.
We will recall that the republican recitation competition “Chashmi Khurshed” was announced by the MoC in the beginning of this year on occasion of celebrations to mark the 1150th anniversary of founder of Tajik-Persian classical literature Abuabdullo Rudaki and the 800th anniversary of the Tajik-Persian poet, jurist and theologian Jalal al-Din Muhammad Rumi.
